Below are images from MUA pat Mc grath i just love her work its fabulous.

Inspiring........

Prada Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear

At Prada's current show the models sported a natural beauty with clean and clear complexions with the main focus being the eyebrows

Valentino Couture Spring 2010

at Valentino current season, mc grath created a flash of colour across the eye area with a simplistic base colour which is pale .

Spring 2010 Haute Couture

Christian Dior

I really like this makeup from Dior , the pale face with bright lips contrasting with the baby blue eyes and thick black liner that accentuate the eyes to look oriental, also having focus on the upper lashes that have been applied and the lower lashes being less obvious. I think this make up is strong and balances itself out due to the fact the eyebrows are not overpowered by being drawn in so the high brow shadow works well.

Diors ready to wear show was less extravagant on the eye make up side simple solid colours here it is lilac, complimented by the dulled red lips .

Dior Couture a/w 2008

I love the drama created with this make up the eyes being over the top and a feel of theatrical. pale skin tone, over sized black lashes and baby pick shadow with the highlight of the brow bone in bright pink just Fab!

Dior S/S 07 Haute Couture

Replacing the normal brows as the have been blocked out with a kind of wax, which also new higher brows to be created, i love the mood and drama of the make up the colour ,the angles and the accents to the eye area.White skin Bright lips. something along the lines with the skin tones is what our group are after..... with dramatic eyes and lips !!!

Gucci Spring /Summer 2006

A Flawless face with simplistic pop of colour through the bright pink lips .

Valentino
Fall 2006 Ready to wear

Paris

A focus on the under eye with liner , and red lips...
i like the eye make and think it could work in colour and look good with a more extravagant upper lid and brow.

Christian Dior
Fall 2006 Ready to wear
Paris

Heavy on the eyes, black strokes creating a large coverage and definition to the brow bone

John Galliano
A/W 2005

New brows , am not to keen on this style. But it just show the variety and styles of make up for inspiration

Dior
A/w 2003

Rubber eye makeup, i really like this style the way in which the everything is symmetrical like a butterfly, over the top lashes with extra feather on up lid, the colours are bright and work really well together. But something as bold as this could look quite drag queen ....

Mirage magazine 2nd edition

Photography David Bellemere

I found these pics in Mirage magazine... i really like the net curtains create small piece of light leaving the body in more of a shadow. Very femine ... just pretty! I also love the fact of the of the really minimal styling just a simple lil touches with jewellery and a headscarf.

ToDaY

So today myself , terri and mark met up and discussed on what we actually want to do...
We discussed the whole technology and wire situation and have now opted away from that and are now focusing more on lighting and shadows.

Whilst discussing ideas i made reference to Photographer Solve Sundso who would be a great point to refer from , we looked at his work which is very creative and natural in the ways in what he produces his work.
So going with a theme of shadows we discussed the following points
  • The use of minimal clothing- using body stockings eg nude or white pale colors or tights
  • Using the body as a canvas , shadowing current and upcoming trends within fashion by making shadow of prints
  • Using filter to create the patterns for the shadows
  • Using coloured gels
  • a mix of portrait and close up shots
  • use of 2 models
  • Makeup- very strong and theatrical
  • Hair- either simplistic with added accessories or extravagant
Whilst looking on the Internet there is actually a white body spray which could come in useful for this

He'S Eclectic

Stylist Nicola Formichetti was born in Japan , his Father Italian and Mother Japanese spending time between two countries which has had a huge influence of his unique that combines a modern and traditional feel , with a mix of Eastern and European.
Above- VOGUE HOMMES JAPAN / LADY GAGA
ARAKI
Lady Gaga in the above image came to link to the idea off wired here she sports wires as clothing and also as a restraint.

ANOTHER MAN
SØLVE SUNDBØ
The images above which are styled by Formichetti, I really like the mix of colours and textures within in the images and with the photographer being Sundbo he has obviously used one off his ever creative skills in creating these images .

cRAZy ColouR ClasH
More image below by Sundbo, Which again relate to shadow which i earlier looked at. This set images pop even more that his black and white female image, due to the styling which contrast to the shadows and lighting the Sundso has produced.

Above i am particularly draw to layout which reflects the solid block pink colour that is shaded with horizontal lines like the opposite , with the added polka dot spots in a mix of strong bold colours.

Dazed Sølve Sundsbø

Neon glows from image below the use of lighting plays a vital role in this image as it adds extra depth and dimension to the styling , allowing the viewer to read into the image more so than a regular photograph.

Sølve Sundsbø
Lights- Below this image show the use of lighting as if it were a necklace it reminding me of glow stick jewellery , which carefully layered upon the collar, using black underneath making the colouring of the lights strong opposed to them on the PVC jacket, the partially illuminated face adds technological aspects to the image playing with his identity. i do like the use of lighting separating the image ever so lightly with the gradual colour change to a essence of red.

In the image below i really love the sense of motion with the lighting being strong and the rest being dulled out.

Roderate- Autumn winter 2010

images fron design boom .com
During New York Fashion week Roderate shoes stood out to me. Created by Nicholas Kirkwood, the have a slight resemblance to a melted candle . I was amazed to see the heels light up which add a airyness to the show

Channel - Its a bulb thing

Images from fotourmagazine.com

In Pre Fall 2008 Chanel combined fashion with technology as they created a working light bulb shoe , instead of a heel they used a working light bulb in which the batteries can be rplaced and even a on off switch.

Motion, Movement creating shapes and patterns

A few years ago i went to an exhibition in the Liverpool museum hey combine his interest in sculpture, science and philosophy and demonstrate the intellectual rigour, technical dexterity and sense of drama associated with his work.

Paolo Canevari

Above Burning dress-
A dress which has been artfully constructed around a crucifix using layers of tulle, i like the way the image is displayed on it side rather then straight on, religious links.
Papa (2001)
Actor, cloth made from rubber inner tubes

Performance, Palazzo Delle Papesse, Centro Arte Contemporanea, SienaBurning Colosseo (2007)
I like the cut out in this image that reveal the fire within, an ideas of layering over light could produce nice shadows

Paolo is an Italian installation art , i like the mix and versatility of his work which ranges in mediums and is quite inspiration.

FiNaL StiLL LiFe PiCs

Here are my final still life images , i opted to use the mannequin legs rather than human as human isn't really still life and i find the oddness of these images is more visually engaging and intriguing.

300 individual hand soldered resin covered LEDs light up this chandelier. The color coded electrical wiring makes the body of the chandelier.

The above image relates to an idea we had with using wires , this just shows the variety of colours available in wiring , but i have kind of gone of the whole wire idea.

I came across this dress which could inspire the use of lights on the body en wrapped with sheer fabric allowing the light to escape.

I really like the images below the way in which the whole out fit can be seen through visual of using mirrors, which have created illusion and depth to what can just be a straight on shot.

Below i like the composition of the images the fashion image to the right which is accompanied by the shot on the left that evokes the mood and feeling to the opposite image.

Tokyo born Takehisa moved to London where he began his career at Dazed and Confused he was full time assistant to the fashion director Nicola Formichetti.

Personally i would say that Formichetti has inspired Takehisa as they are both eclectic and out there within there styling .Extremely creative creating beautiful images.

iNtRoVeRtEd ExTrOvErT

From looking at "Wired" editorial earlier on these images seem to relate to what i was think .
Avneet Padda and Josh Richards have created these images name introverted extrovert. A title that is contradicting as introverted is a shy person apposed to extrovert and out going person or is it psychological approach of concern of ones feelings, thoughts or social environment.
The images focus on restrainant /restrictions.

I came across this image and like it. I think it looks old fashioned as if its trapped in a certain era of time, due to the fact of nowadays with technology of teles and also the decor. i like the composition and style of the images with the mix of colours print/patterns they all add to the feel of image. There is no information i can find on the photographer.
