Own images

When i looked at the jewellery by Takeda.... it remind me off something i did years ago on canvas .
Here are a few pics av just took from natural sunlight shining on the canvas producing this pattern on a surface underneath, they would probably work better under studio lights ... a idea maybe ????

Make Up Artist

Images supplied by
Make up By -Emma Ellen Garrett Kerr

Here are a few images of Emmas work, i think she is very versatile and will play a vital role for the images as the make up will bring the whole style together.

Above images without gels

Above images so use of different colour gels

To create the desired effect , for the final shoot a few options are available which include the following

  • Printing on to acetate
  • Creating stencils from acetate of large pieces of mount board

Whilst using the white back drop , holding a black stencil in front of the light... the idea worked but a few problems occurred

  • the shadow was less visible when held a far distance from the back drop
  • when placing the stencil closer the effect was more visible producing a stronger shadow, the only thing is that whilst having the stencil placed close it would become part off the image.
Trying out the stencils on acetate proved to be a problem as it didn't produce a clear shadow
es we came to the conclusion that lighting was added from different angles instead of straight on.

Referring back Solve sundsbo's work the we came to the conclusion that light must have came from various angle and directions rather straight .

Trying light from the angles allowed the stencil to be placed as close as possible to the model, allowing mark to shoot from face on. Therefore the stencil can be cropped from the images .

So for creating the stencil ..... the use of A1 MOUNT BOARD , which can be large enough to shadow the model and thick enough to produce a shadow, and allows use to select our own designs.

So on the styling side of the shoot. Myself and terri have decided not to go overboard .... as some times less is more and also with the makeup playing a vital role for our shoot.
So we have just picked up Cycling style shorts with lace detailing in various colours ,denim cut off short, lace vest, body suit and a mix of different tights. Hopefully all goes well !!!

Heres a few pic of some bits .....

Terri suggested Hazel who was in a fashion show we helped out at. I think shes got the right look we we aiming for.

Stained Glass

When thinking about other ways to create designs the of thought of stained glass came to mind. the way in which it has variety of colours and uses lead to create pattern. So for a while ago i had done some stained glass for a project... here a few images of what it looks like when light(natural light) is put through it.
